What is CFSS?
Community First Services and Supports (CFSS) will be implemented in Minnesota on October 1, 2024, replacing personal care assistance (PCA) and the Consumer Support Grant (CSG). CFSS will provide similar services to PCA, including:
Activities of daily living, such as bathing, eating, grooming, and transferring
Health-related tasks
Instrumental activities of daily living, such as cooking, laundry, shopping, and assistance with self-administered medications
Behavior observation and redirection. CFSS will also allow spouses and parents of minors to provide paid caregiving services. In this model, participants will be their own support workers’ employers, recruiting, hiring, training, and supervising them.

Feel Confident in Your Caregiver's Abilities
Feeling at ease while receiving at-home care is a major reason why most clients prefer family caregivers over home nurses. In fact, within the United States, more than 90% of at-home care is provided by a family member or relative. At Best Care, we help caregivers learn how to get paid for caring for a loved one.
We’ll manage all the administrative responsibilities, help to submit timesheets, and facilitate access to training and ongoing support, so that caregivers can provide care services to the best of their ability. By choosing Best Care, caregivers also receive the competitive pay and benefits, such as PTO. Whether you’re the client or the caregiver, you’ll benefit from Best Care’s award-winning support.
